Substitute Teaching

To substitute teach within the Clinton School District, you must be on file as a substitute teacher.  Substitute teachers must have at least 60 hours ofsubstitute graphic college credit and a valid substitute certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Substitutes must also complete and pass a background check and be fingerprinted.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requires all substitutes to apply for their own substitute certificates through the department's website, www.dese.mo.gov.

Applications for substitute teaching are accepted throughout the year and can be found below. Full application packets are available at Central Office or you may request an application packet be mailed to you by sending your name and address to Amanda Cothern

In addition to substitute teachers, the Clinton School District utilizes substitutes for paraprofessionals, nursing staff and crossing guards.
