Coronavirus (COVID-19) Info and Updates

There is a growing concern throughout our community about the potential spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). COVID-19

The Clinton School District, as well as all districts in the state of Missouri, are receiving frequent updates and information on COVID-19 from their local health departments, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). These agencies continue to prepare for any/all outcomes related to COVID-19. The Clinton School District will continue to work with these partners as they monitor and manage the current situation with the coronavirus.

Please check back for additional information.  The District will keep an open line of communication about our plans as we navigate this rapidly-evolving situation. We are in this together and will get through this together.

UPDATES:

4/9/2020-Missouri Governor, Mike Parson ordered that all Missouri public schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year to flatten the curve and slow the spread of COVID-19.

3/30/2020-
The CSD Board of Education has extended the current school closure through April 17th. Please know, this may be readjusted depending on a possible announcement by Governor Parson later this week. The Board realizes that there is a real possibility that schools could be closed at least through the end of April. The Board believes it is in the best interest of our students and community to reassess the situation every two weeks.

3/22/2020-
Governor Parson and the Department of Health and Senior Services has ordered that all schools shall not resume classes before April 6th.

3/17/2020-
To help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff, and to do our part in trying to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Clinton School District will be closed through Friday, March 27th (this includes all athletic practices, activities, events, etc.).We will reassess the situation next Wednesday, March 25th and make a decision about the possibility of extending the closure based on information available at that time.

3/15/2020-All Clinton School District activities for the week of March 16th-22nd have been cancelled. The District will re-evaluate the situation later this coming week and will make a decision moving forward.
